What to send

Questions are genuinely welcome, especially the ones you feel silly asking. "What is a nameserver" and "why does my form go nowhere" are excellent questions, and several lessons on this site exist because somebody sent one.

If you write in, it helps to include what you are trying to build, which route you are on or considering, and the exact wording of anything that went wrong. A screenshot beats a description.

Corrections go to the front of the queue. If a figure here is out of date, a link is broken, or an explanation is simply wrong, say so and it gets checked against the original source and fixed. You will get credit if you want it and none if you would rather not.

What we cannot do

There are three things we have to say no to, so you do not wait on an answer that is not coming.

• We cannot build or edit your site for you, or review it privately. This is a course, not a studio.
• We cannot get into your accounts to debug them. Nobody here should ever have your passwords, and neither should anyone else who offers.
• We cannot advise on anything legal or financial. The lessons point at the rules that apply and at the official sources, and that is as far as it goes.

Response times

Expect a few days. Everything is answered by hand and in the order it arrives, so a thoughtful reply on Thursday is more likely than an instant one today.

If your question turns out to be one that many readers share, it may become a lesson — with your name on it only if you ask for it.
